The Day on Which to be Thankful
Andrew and I spent Thanksgiving this year in the company of both our families. We drove down to Montgomery on Thursday morning to eat at the Renaissance Hotel. The hotel cooks a huge meal with everything from the traditional turkey and dressing to waffles and grits. If you're in the mood for dessert, and who isn't after a big meal, you should see all the different choices. Personally, I tried the pecan tart and the bananas foster. In attendance were my family (Dad, Mom, and Susan), Andrew's family (Dad and Mom), my Aunt Lucie, and my Nanny. Plus, who can forget little Amelia. She got to experience, vicariously of course, her first Thanksgiving meal. I think she enjoyed the sweet potatoes and salmon most of all. I guess she takes after her mother!
Here's a couple of snapshots from before we ate. We were too stuffed to take pictures afterwards!

We are so thankful this year for our families. They love, support, and encourage us in a way no one else can. We are thankful for our friends that keep our life interesting. We are thankful for the roof over our heads, the food on our table, and the jobs that allow us to provide for our future growing family. Speaking of, words can't express how thankful we are for sweet little Amelia and how excited we are for her arrival in March. We are so blessed!
I hope you and yours had as wonderful a Thanksgiving as we did!
P.S. I got a fancy, new camera for an early Christmas present. Expect to see some new blog posts coming soon!
Love the post! You have lots to be thankful for! Baby girls are the best. The end. :)
